Al-Houthi militia arrests a security officer who named his son (Tariq) and threatens him with trial

Security sources in the capital, Sanaa, revealed to NewsYemen, that the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, had arrested an officer from the Special Security Forces (or what was called the Central Security previously) over naming his child after Tariq.

The sources said: A former Central Security officer (Special Security Forces) named Muhammad Abdullah Saleh was assigned to lead security guards in some facilities, including private facilities and private hospitals, he gave birth to a new baby named Tariq. The issuance of a birth certificate for his son in the name of (Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh). The supervisor of the Houthi militia at the hospital was informed, who in turn informed the Houthi security leaders, who rushed to arrest the officer and put him in prison.

According to the sources, the officer Muhammad Abdullah Saleh told the militia leaders that giving his son Tariq's name is a matter of his own, and he has nothing to do with anyone, his political position, nor his work as a security officer who performs his duties, but the Houthi militia leaders rejected the justification of the officer Muhammad Abdullah Saleh and told him that releasing the name Tariq On his son, it is an expression of his love for the leader of the National Resistance (Guardians of the Republic) Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, especially since the name has become a quarter, asking him to change his son's name immediately in exchange for his release.

It added that the leaders of the Houthi militia threatened the officer Muhammad Abdullah Saleh to charge treason and labor against the coalition forces and their followers, specifically with Tariq Saleh, and that he would be referred accordingly to the military trial in case he refused to change his son’s name
