Sanaa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The Houthi militia continues to abuse the citizens in their areas of control, exploiting their needs and cramming them into sectarian activities that ruminate the conflicts of Islamic history, and do not meet the minimum needs of Yemenis in their present and future.

Broad titles for intense events commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Zaid bin Ali, who, according to historical accounts, went out in the year 122 AH in Kufa in revolt against the Umayyads and Hisham bin Abdulmalik, before he was killed there and his supporters let him down, as historical accounts indicate that about 15,000 people of Kufa pledged allegiance to him then he was left with only 300 men.

Most of those gathered in Houthi activities today may not know that the one who was celebrated in commemoration of his martyrdom about 1318 years ago, was born in Medina and was killed in Iraq, and therefore the man, according to today's accounts, is a Saudi national, and those involved in his killing are Iraqis from the country of Iraq that is ruled by Iran's arms there.

The Houthi militia exploits the property and official state apparatus, and issues important circulars to the (presumed) officials working with it in the various administrative and local authorities, to go out in solidarity activities with a person who died centuries ago, unrelated to the people today and their lives, and at the same time prevent and suppress solidarity demonstrations with someone who perished in a horrific crime just days ago, their security was horrified and their lives disturbed.

A satirical picture of a tragic reality, taken by activists on social media, to a flagrant paradox, which they see reveals the size of "the gap between the priorities, issues and concerns of the special group, and the priorities and issues of people and their concerns."

Just days ago, the Houthi militia arrested dozens of people in connection with participating in a solidarity march with the young martyr Abdullah Al-Aghbry, who was killed unjustly and aggressively about 20 days ago by 5 people, after being brutally tortured for 6 hours.

In return, the Houthi militia is paying its supporters and workers to participate in "solidarity marches" with "Imam Zaid", who was killed in a war confrontation with his Umayyad opponents on the second of Safar, 122 AH, that is, 1318 years ago.

Multiple local sources reported to (NewsYemen) that a number of district leaders in Sana'a made phone calls to dozens of residents of their neighborhoods to inform them of the necessity to attend Houthi events, threatening to deprive them of household gas cylinders (distributed through the district leaders) in case they failed to participate in the celebration of the event with sectarian dimensions and connotations.

Abdullah Shamsan - a bus driver - believes that the abuse of people and their forcible removal to mark Islamic occasions, events and historical facts is a summoning of past disputes and employment to revive sectarian strife and sectarianism.

Referring in his interview to (NewsYemen) to the dangerous consequences of such entrenchment and the negative impact on national unity and the societal fabric in Yemen, and said: "Adherence to the square of sectarianism and sectarian domestication is no different from the efforts of regionalization."

He considered the exaggeration in such activities and formalizing them, but on the ground means the implementation of the regionalization and division project, and the practicing of some form of separation in practice and official.
