Marib, NewsYemen:

Saba News Agency quoted Minister Aws Al-Oud as his thanks to the “Marib Refinery” for its role, according to him, “in meeting the needs of the local market and reducing the oil crises that the country is witnessing from time to time.”

While the Central Bank confirms that the governorate does not supply any sums to the public treasury, the minister spoke of "support (the refinery) to the legitimate government during the ongoing war waged by the Houthi coup militia."

The news said that the minister met, on Tuesday, with the leaders of the refinery "to discuss the difficulties facing the refinery's work and its needs," according to the state-run Saba Agency.

The minister previously announced that the export of Marib oil through the port of Nashima on the coast of Shabwa is close, a year after the Brotherhood’s authority took control of the coastal governorate and annexed it to its state in Marib.

Marib is experiencing an oil derivatives crisis for the second consecutive week, due to the company's inability to provide oil derivatives to the sales stations, which are lined up in front of dozens of vehicles waiting for the availability of gasoline and diesel.

Oil sources revealed to (NewsYemen) that the oil company in Marib resorted to the Aden refinery in order to buy quantities of gasoline and diesel and cover the needs of the local market in the governorate about 3 months ago, but the escalation of the retired southern soldiers demanding their salaries prevented the deal from being completed.
