Taiz, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

Private sources in Taiz revealed to "NewsYemen" that an unannounced meeting of the Brotherhood’s authority decided to raise the collection of a number of fees in violation of the law.

The sources indicated that the meeting that took place recently took place at the invitation of the first representative of the Brotherhood leader / Abdulqawi Al-Mikhlafi, and without the knowledge of Governor Nabil Shamsan, who is outside the governorate.

Noting that the meeting was attended by Axis Commander Khaled Fadel, Commander of the Fifth Brigade, Presidential Protection Adnan Riziq, directors of the Traffic, Passports and Finance offices and departments and the Central Agency for Control, Planning and Taxes.

The sources revealed that the meeting came out with the signing of a report by the attendees approving an increase in the fees for personal cards, passports and traffic licenses, under the pretext of allocating them to the wounded.

According to the sources, this declaration is contrary to the law, which does not allow local authorities to approve any increase in service fees provided by state institutions except by law.

Noting that the dissident agent had previously instructed the Civil Status and Immigration Department and the Traffic Department to take fees in the old currency for those coming from the Houthi-controlled areas.

The sources mocked the reason for the Brotherhood’s authority to plunder citizens ’funds in the name of the wounded, and transfer this increase to the Wounded Committee of the Axis.

The sources said that this committee turned into something like a "black hole" to receive millions in the name of the wounded, while the dire situation for the wounded remained the same.

In addition, the Axis Committee is not subject to any control or supervision of the fate of what it receives in the name of the wounded, as the committee has not submitted any report about its work, the funds it received, and the method of its disbursement.

The sources added that the Brotherhood’s authority is now using the file of the wounded to plunder citizens and state revenues, in addition to using it as a blackmail card against officials in the state institutions in Taiz, as happened with the current governor and former governor, Amin Mahmoud.
