The governorate of Socotra Archipelago has returned to its normal state, dominated by security stability, since the middle of this year, since the authority and the Brotherhood's militants were expelled from it in June of this year.

Like other Yemeni governorates, Socotra received its share of the UAE's humanitarian aid at all levels. The UAE is making efforts to provide the basic needs of the population in Socotra, such as electricity and water, and it also contributes to supporting the field of education, while the Brotherhood has been content throughout its existence with convulsive statements and destabilizing the province, under the pretext of sovereignty, without caring for people.

More humanitarian support
In this regard, an Emirati ship arrived on Friday, as part of the Emirati support provided to the inhabitants of the archipelago, carrying fuel for the local market and generators.
The Emirati newspaper, Al Bayan, said that the generators that arrived in Socotra are intended to support the energy of a number of electrical stations operated by Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation and the new stations, and to provide service to a number of areas that did not receive electricity in the previous period.
The newspaper pointed out that within the humanitarian work of the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation in Socotra, the Foundation has completed water tanks in several areas within the island, including the Salmho area and the nearby areas, and also supplied water pipes from the water tanks to the area as an initial stage to start the operation and pumping process in order to meet the needs of the population In the archipelago necessary water.
She indicated that the Foundation, through Dixom Power and Water Technology Company, has drilled artesian wells in places where there is no water in Socotra, and was able to equip them with pumps and solar panels to draw groundwater into reservoirs, which in turn pump it into the pipes to residential areas.
