Aden, NewsYemen:

A member of the Supreme Commission for the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Salem Al-Awlaqi, revealed that the discussions and consultations related to the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement with the Yemeni government have stopped during the current period, pointing out that there is a state of “political blockage” in this regard.

Al-Awlaki accused, in an interview with "Irm News", the Yemeni Rally for Reform Party, the arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen - which is one of the parties representing the Yemeni government - of standing behind obstructing all efforts to succeed or proceed with the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, calling on the leadership of the Arab coalition to announce the party Deactivated agreement.

He said: “Efforts to form the new government were completed two weeks ago, and the government is ready, and what we are seeing in terms of obstacles during the past few days, aimed at thwarting the government's announcement and disrupting all that has been achieved in the course of the Riyadh Agreement and its acceleration mechanism.”

He explained that "the bombing of the military situation on the Abyan fronts by the militia of the Ikhwani Islah Party expresses a clear rebellion against the agreement, and the endeavor to return it to Square Zero."

A member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council pointed out that “all these practices by the Yemeni Brotherhood have caused a political blockage of the consultations in Riyadh and disrupted the government’s announcement process, and this is the goal of the Yemeni Brotherhood of course.”

Al-Awlaqi stressed that “there are moves and pressures by the brothers in the leadership of the Arab Alliance, to dissolve and move the blocked processes in this aspect, and we are awaiting the settlement of the situation, or the announcement of the Arab coalition about the side that obstructs the agreement, and for every recent event.”
