Aden, NewsYemen:

Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense, in charge of the Yemen file, stressed moving forward to implement the Riyadh Agreement to promote peace and stability and place the interest of Yemenis above all considerations.

This came during a meeting with interim President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, amid information that "Hadi" continues to obstruct the formation of the new government, through his attempts to impose the names of those close to him to occupy important ministerial portfolios.

Deputy Prince Khalid bin Salman said in Taghreed on his Twitter account: “I met with His Excellency President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, President of the Republic of Yemen, and during the meeting we discussed developments in Yemen, and I confirmed to His Excellency the Kingdom’s leadership’s keenness to achieve stability, security and development for the brotherly Yemeni people, and to move forward to implement an agreement  Riyadh to promote peace and stability and put the interest of the Yemenis above all considerations. "

Hadi and the Brotherhood are accused of obstructing the announcement of the new government that emerged from the Riyadh Agreement, sponsored by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, between the legitimacy and the Southern Transitional Council.

Hadi had previously insisted on keeping Ahmed Al-Maysari in the position of Minister of Interior, in the government to be announced, while Al-Maysari was one of the leaders participating in the August events that confirmed the terms of the Riyadh agreement to exclude them.

Recently, Hadi returned to obstruct the formation of the government by nominating the Brotherhood-affiliated oil merchant and deputy director of his office, Ahmed Al-Eisi, to the position of Minister of Interior, after granting him the rank of major general, even though he does not belong at all to the security or military corps, not to mention the corruption files that hover around his person.

Earlier, the interim president nominated his son Nasser Abd Rabbo Mansour for the position of the Ministry of Interior and Deputy Prime Minister, in a move that was rejected by the rest of the parties.

On Wednesday, a member of the Supreme Commission for the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Salem Al-Awlaqi, revealed that the discussions and consultations related to the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement had stopped, pointing out that there is a state of "political blockage" in this regard.

Al-Awlaqi accused the Islah party, the arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen, of being behind obstructing all efforts to succeed or proceed with the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, calling on the leadership of the Arab Coalition to announce the party that obstructed the agreement.

A member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council pointed out that “all these practices by the Yemeni Brotherhood have caused a political blockage of the consultations in Riyadh and disrupted the government’s announcement process, and this is the goal of the Yemeni Brotherhood of course.”

Al-Awlaqi stressed that “there are moves and pressures by the brothers in the leadership of the Arab Alliance, to dissolve and move the blocked processes in this aspect, and we are awaiting the settlement of the situation, or the announcement of the Arab coalition about the side that obstructs the agreement, and for every recent event.”
