The arrest of al-Qaeda operatives in the Hadhramaut plateau

The security services, backed by the Hadrami Elite Forces, raided the hideouts of the Al-Qaeda organization in the districts of Douan, Al-Dhale'ah, and Ras Hwira area at the top of the Hadhramaut plateau, at dawn today.
Security sources said that intelligence information revealed the movements of members of the "Al-Qaeda Organization in the Arabian Peninsula" in the districts of Douan, Al-Dulaia, Amad and Rakheya, linking with mountain chains between the governorates of Hadramout, Shabwa, Al-Jawf and Al-Bayda, in preparation for targeting security, military and vital sites in the provinces of Hadhramaut coast.
According to a high-ranking security source, the security forces and the Hadrami elite of the second military zone on the coast of Hadhramaut managed a surprise operation that combed the valleys and seized the locations of terrorists, in addition to seizing ammunition, weapons and explosives, which lasted for four hours.
The director of security for Douan Directorate, Colonel Salem Al-Awbathani, vowed to continue pursuing all elements that seek to disturb public peace.
While Major Walid bin Shamlan, Director of Al Dhale'ah Security Forces, praised the role of citizens in monitoring suspicious movements of terrorist elements, which helped the security services to take proactive steps that contributed to thwarting their plans.
