Aden Airport resumes flights after being halted after the ballistic attack

Aden International Airport was restarted today, 4 days after the terrorist attack, which targeted the airport at the moment of the arrival of the president and members of the new government, and left more than 130 dead and wounded.

On Sunday, Aden Airport received a Yemeni Airlines flight from the Sudanese capital Khartoum, marking the resumption of the airport’s operation, after repairing the severe damage caused by the missile attack.

The Governor of Aden, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, said during the inauguration ceremony that Aden airport is Yemen's gateway to the entire outside world, pointing out that the re-operation of the airport came after great efforts to repair the damage caused by the attack.

Lamlas added, "May God have mercy on our martyrs and we pray for the healing of our wounded who fell in this cowardly terrorist act. We salute the steadfastness of the airport employees and raise their hats in respect and appreciation for their efforts, and we reiterate that Aden is a sacrifice to terrorism and seeks peace."

The attack carried out by the Houthi militia on Aden airport last Wednesday, using three ballistic missiles, reminded the capital, Aden, for the air defense system of the Arab coalition.
