Abyan, NewsYemen, Muhammad Al-Hanashi:

The Saudi committee in the city of Shuqra in the governorate of Abyan, which supervises the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, was subjected to terrorist attacks on Sunday evening and Monday morning.

The committee had left the city after the first explosion in the evening, but it returned at dawn and was subjected to another attack in the morning.

According to local sources in the city, unidentified persons detonated an explosive device in front of the Shaqra Secondary Gate, which the Saudi Committee has been using for weeks to oversee the implementation of the military part of the Riyadh Agreement.

After the explosion, which did not cause casualties or damage to the building, the Saudi committee left on board armored vehicles and crews towards the capital Zinjibar or Aden, but according to sources, it returned to its headquarters in Shakra at dawn on Monday.

At 9 am, the headquarters of the committee was targeted by mortar shells that occurred in the vicinity of the building in the center of the city and military barracks.

The targeting of the Saudi committee raises several questions, perhaps the most prominent of which is the state of dissatisfaction among the terrorist forces that control the city and its environs and are dissatisfied with the agreement, and which the southern forces have remained steadfast in their face, combating all their terrorist operations.

The duty to protect the Saudi committee falls on the shoulders of the forces that claim to be the legitimate forces and control the region, but it seems that they do not do so because they believe that the agreement targets them and reduces their influence, according to their media.

Weeks ago, the Brotherhood media and their allies launched its continuous attack on the Saudi forces and its committee overseeing the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, and it reached incitement to the Saudi presence and calls to expel the Saudi forces, describing them as an occupation.

Political writer Saleh Ali Al-Duwail believes that terrorism is one that targets everyone in Shuqra and others, whether Houthi, ISIS or their hatcheries, indicating that these groups emerged from the origin and the first hatchery for them, which is the Brotherhood.

Al-Duwail said, in his tweet, that the Riyadh agreement penetrated the Brotherhood’s red lines, so it is natural for them to resort to targeting the coalition and other parties in Shaqra and elsewhere, indicating that the coalition will not be able to defeat Houthi terrorism except by defeating the terrorism of empowerment and its allies.

The military expert, Brigadier General Khaled Al-Nassi, accused the Brotherhood of being behind these terrorist operations recently, in a continuation of their attempts to thwart the Riyadh Agreement.

Al-Nasi said, in a tweet to him, that there is more than one party that wants to thwart the Riyadh agreement, so that their attempts began to target Aden airport upon the return of the government, and then to target the headquarters of the Saudi forces in Shakra, which oversees the implementation of the military part of the agreement, indicating that these parties will continue their attempts His continuous failure since he was signed more than a year ago.

Al-Nasi pointed out: “The Saudi forces supervising the implementation of the military part of the Riyadh Agreement and present in Shakra were moving freely and safely between Aden and Abyan, and when the government reached Aden, the Brotherhood forces began attacking the Saudi forces, and this gives us an indication that the Brotherhood is accused of targeting Aden airport to thwart the Riyadh agreement. "

The Saudi committee returned at dawn on Monday to its headquarters in the city of Shakra after leaving the city after the first explosion, but it was targeted on Monday morning.

According to the Adeni Al-Ayyam newspaper, the headquarters of te Saudi Committee has been subjected to previous attacks in recent days, which were less effective, among them was shelling with machine-guns from the Arqoub Mountains, east of Shakra, to which the Brotherhood forces withdrew from Al-Tariya and Sheikh Salem.

To that, on Monday morning, and after the explosions that rocked the city, a mass demonstration of the people of Shakra city demanded that the Brotherhood forces leave the city and let them live in peace.

The protesters cut off the road linking the capital, Aden, and Hadramout governorate, stressing that the Brotherhood forces are the ones refusing to implement the Riyadh Agreement.

The protesters accused the Brotherhood forces stationed in the vicinity of the city of targeting the Saudi committee with the aim of sowing discord between the Saudi forces and the citizens of the city.
