Aden, NewsYemen:

Iranian leaders reaffirm that “Al Houthi” is nothing but a title through which they managed to bring down the Yemeni state and the region’s concerns, and this time the statements come from Iranian Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif.

The Iranian minister said in a statement to Iranian television that he told his US counterpart, “John Kerry,” when he was US Secretary of State, that “Qassem Soleimani will stop the war in Yemen if coordination is made with Saudi Arabia.

Zarif said "When the Saudis launched the war on Yemen, we presented, with the support of Hajj Qassem Soleimani, a proposal for a ceasefire,".

He adds, "I told the US Secretary of State at the time (John Kerry) that I am on my way to board the plane now, and if necessary, you can contact my assistant (Hussein) Amir Abdollahian, who will inform Hajj Qassem Soleimani to start the matter."

He added, "At the time, Obama said after Kerry's call with me that Iran is preventing peace in Yemen."

It is noteworthy that the US Congress requested on January 1 from the US government: “a description of the external and cross-border attacks perpetrated by the Houthis,” and “a detailed description of the support provided by Tehran and Iranian-backed groups to the Houthis, including the provision of weapons and training.”

A member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, Javad Karimi Qudusi, said in a newspaper interview: "We did everything that could be done in Yemen," adding: that his country "was able to enhance the capabilities of the defense systems of the Houthis, and that (the Houthis) are now able to manufacture drones and develop Scud missiles they had before.

Commenting on the celebrations of Sanaa under the control of the Houthis in Qassem Soleimani, the Yemeni journalist, Muhammad Ayesh, wrote: “The exaggeration in celebrating Soleimani by Hezbollah in Lebanon, the armed formations in Iraq and the Houthis in Yemen, is not actually an exaggeration, he was the man (and his army behind him) of the first and last decision, among all Iranian decision-making circles.

He said, "The political establishment in Tehran is more cautious, and more scarce, but it is not the owner of the word, but the Revolutionary Guard that makes and implements most of Iran's policies in the region."

He added, “After they entered Sana'a, leaders of the Houthis, headed by Al-Samad, carried out their famous visit to Tehran by plane from Sanaa airport. The Iranian“ government ”received them with promises to support some development projects, which did not fulfill those scarce promises in the first place.  While Soleimani (and the Revolutionary Guards) took the initiative before he promised, and fulfilled more than he promised.

He said: “When an army builds alliances, internal or external, it will naturally be nothing but combat alliances, and when a country entrusts the entire file of the relationship with you to its army, it deals with you as a military and security tool, nothing more.”

The new Iranian ambassador did not come from the diplomatic corps, he is a former warrior in the Revolutionary Guards, meaning that he is an ambassador for his country's army and not its diplomacy.

The American expert in national security affairs said that the Houthis follow Iranian orders directly.

Irina Tsuckerman told "NewsYemen": The Houthi group "is not an independent entity that represents the interests of any Yemeni group, but rather terrorist agents for Tehran and Ayatollah Khamenei."

The British expert on Yemeni affairs, Noel Barhouni, author of the book "Divided Yemen" and a former British diplomat, member of the Advisory Board of the Friends of Yemen Group in the Workers Party: "The Houthis are agents of Tehran and not just agents."
