Aden, NewsYemen:

The Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - revealed that it had carried out 75 (Iranian-made) missile attack operations targeting facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and international territorial waters in the Red Sea.

The spokesman for the leading militia, Saree, admitted that their militia had carried out 267 attack drone operations during the year 2020, threatening to attack international shipping and the ports of neighboring countries.

The Houthi leader's speech was consistent with similar threats to the leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hassan Irloo, in which he claimed that "Yemen today is the beating heart of the resistance front and the upper hand in the axis of resistance, and it is hope for the world."

The Iranian escalation from Sanaa comes in conjunction with the US Congress’s approval of a package of questions that the US government must answer within four months from the date of approval of the National Defense Bill for 2021.

The questions included “a description of external and cross-border attacks perpetrated by the Houthis,” in addition to “a detailed description of the support provided by Tehran and Iranian-backed groups to the Houthis, including the provision of weapons and training,” and a specific clause “describing the recruitment and use of children by parties to the conflict in Yemen.”

The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said at the opening of the 41st Gulf summit, Tuesday, that "Iranian activities aim to destabilize the region," adding: "We face the challenges of Iran's disruptive behavior."
