Britain appoints a new ambassador to Yemen

On Thursday, the British Foreign Office announced the appointment of a new ambassador for the Queen to Yemen, to succeed the current ambassador, "Michael Aaron."
The British Foreign Office said in a tweet on its Twitter account that Richard Oppenheim has been appointed as Her Majesty's new ambassador to the Republic of Yemen.
Oppenheim was the Deputy British Ambassador in Riyadh, and had previously worked in Muscat and Baghdad.
The new ambassador is scheduled to start his duties next June.
