Rights and Freedoms network tracks 344 Houthi violations in Al-Haima

The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms said, on Monday, that it has documented 334 human rights violations in the Al-Haima area of   Al-Taiziyah District, Taiz Governorate, committed by Iran's arm in Yemen, during the period from 6 to 11 January.

The network confirmed that the violations varied between willful killing, injury, kidnapping, enforced disappearance, displacement and the denial of access to treatment, food and water as a result of the siege imposed by the Houthi militia on all residential homes.  Where its team documented the fall of (11) cases of killing since the beginning of the events of the Houthi militia's invasion of the Al-Haima area, divided between (3) cases of field execution and maiming of the dead bodies, dragging them and pulling them with military personnel, according to local and human rights sources.

According to the report, the network monitored (29) cases of injury, including women and children, and more than (140) cases of arbitrary arrest and enforced disappearance, including (13) children and (9) women.

 In addition, the report stated that the Houthi militia committed (128) cases of violations, including the bombing of (14) houses with TNT, (110) cases of storming, looting and searches, and (4) cases of burning homes as a result of the intensity of indiscriminate shelling, and recorded (7) cases of looting various vehicles.  Types of residents from the region, and (12) cases of confiscation of motorcycles.  Al-Houthi forced dozens of families to forcibly displace their homes and turn their homes into military barracks for the militias, in addition to creating (4) military checkpoints that the Houthi militia had created at all entrances and exits to the al-Haima area.

The network called on international organizations to work to lift the imposed siege and to conduct an urgent relief convoy to break the siege imposed on the villages of the Al-Haima area, aid the wounded, and provide the necessary aid to the families who have become homeless.
