Sanaa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The former prime minister and advisor to the president of the republic, Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr, said that the US decision to classify the Houthis as a terrorist organization is an accurate and realistic description of the Houthis, which is an advanced reading of the situation in Yemen.

Bin Daghr explained that the American decision deprives the Houthi militia of the weapon of the false grievance that they claimed, pointing out that the decision to classify the Houthi militia puts Yemen's friends in front of the Houthi reality abstract as it is, according to the Houthi group as a "racist and extremist terrorist organization."

The political and human rights activist, Abdullah Al-Saqqaf, said in a comment on (Twitter) that the decision of the United States of America to classify the Houthis as a terrorist organization, a welcome decision by the Yemeni people and a popular demand since 2015.

Al-Saqqaf added, "If the decision had been taken earlier, it would have contributed to ending the war, blowing up homes is sufficient to accuse them of terrorism."

The Minister of Information and Culture, Muammar Al-Eryani, believes that designating the Houthis as a terrorist group will "protect civilians from their crimes," calling on all Arab countries to include the militia on the terrorism list.

In addition, Watheq al-Hasani proposes in a comment to him on (Twitter) that the port of Aden be an alternative to "receiving all commercial ships, especially after the Houthis have been designated a terrorist organization," wishing that the Arab coalition would support the port with all modern equipment that requires speedy clearance of goods and dealings with merchants.

According to political sources in Sanaa, designating the Houthi movement as a terrorist group would reinforce the Yemeni government's full responsibility in combating terrorism and its financiers and supporters that support the Houthi group, as of January 19, 2021.

The sources believe that the new designation of the Houthi militia will stop Martin Griffiths' movements, which the sources described as "deceptive" and his international pressure to extract the alleged legitimacy of the terrorist militia.

Speaking to (News Yemen), political sources in Sanaa read about America's decision to classify the Houthi militia as a terrorist group, as stopping the Stockholm Agreement and stopping the Houthi theft of aid from the mouths of Yemenis.

According to these sources, the decision would reduce the Houthi hegemony over the tribes "on the grounds that those who cooperate from the terrorist Houthi militia will be under international legal accountability, or under the targeting of the international coalition fighting terrorism."
