Aden, NewsYemen:

The Muslim Brotherhood authorities in Shabwa governorate refused to deploy a force from the Coast Guard to secure the "Qena" berth in the Radoum district, in a new step confirming the group's plan to use the historic port for suspicious activities.

Sources in the authority stated that the Coast Guard had prepared a force to guard the historic port, according to its legal jurisdiction, but the Brotherhood authority in Shabwa refused this, and deployed loyal militias in the region.

The Brotherhood’s refusal of the presence of coast guard forces to guard the port confirms the group’s intention to use Qena as a sea window on the coasts of the Arabian Sea to bring in shipments of oil and weapons through smuggling.

Earlier, the businessman affiliated with the Brotherhood, Ahmed Al-Eisi, began to enter shipments of Iranian oil, through this port, to Shabwa, and created a black market to sell them at high prices.
