US envoy: Iran is arming the Houthis and preparing them to launch attacks against Saudi Arabia

The US envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, said that Iran is playing a destructive role in Yemen by arming, training and equipping the Houthi militia to launch attacks against civilians and Saudi Arabia.
Lenderking confirmed, in a press statement, that Iran's supply of mines to the Houthis threatens maritime navigation, stressing that the Houthi attacks on civilian targets show their lack of desire for peace.
The US envoy added that the Houthis must stay away from Iran if they want peace in Yemen.
Lenderking said that Iran is preparing the Houthis to launch several attacks in the Gulf, noting that Iran is training the Houthis and equipping them with weapons to target Saudi Arabia.
Lenderking also called on Iran to stop its support for the killings committed by the Houthi militia.
