Sanaa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, continues its policies of extorting citizens and residents in the capital, Sanaa, and the areas under its control, forcing them to pay money as donations for what it calls support for the battle of Marib and the missile force.

Local sources in the capital told NewsYemen: The Houthi militia distributed envelopes to homes through Iqal al-Harat containing an invitation to donate to support the Marib front and the missile force, and on each envelope the name of the person was written and citizens were informed that their access to gas cylinders through Al-Aqal was contingent on their donations to the battle of Marib and support for the force. The missile strikes are organized by the militia and that those who refuse to donate will be blacklisted by the gang of the neighborhoods and the militia’s supervisors and will be denied access to gas cylinders.

These Houthi practices coincided with the emergence of a sudden crisis in domestic gas in the capital, Sanaa, where the price of a gas cylinder reached 12,000 riyals, while the quantities of gas distributed through the neighborhoods were reduced in the last week, and the quantities of gas distributed through the stations designated for vehicles were also reduced, which is the matter. Which led to a gas crisis and the emergence of a black market similar to the black market for selling oil derivatives.

The gas company, which is under the control of the Houthi militia in Sana'a, announced last month that it is about to reopen its domestic gas sales fairs at the level of the capital's districts and districts, as well as direct resale through the debt that passes through the streets. Militia local radio stations, before this trend is canceled suddenly and without prior notice.

The sources attributed the gas company’s retreat from proceeding with what it announced to the pressure of the militia leaders who insisted on the continuation of the policy of distributing domestic gas through the lanes of the neighborhoods because of this of political benefit, where the distribution of household gas can be used as a means of exerting pressure on citizens through the mind, whether with regard to mobilizing fighters for fronts Militias, or in the crowd of demonstrators for their activities, or with regard to the donations that citizens are obligated to do through the lap of the neighborhoods and mortgage the location of their obtaining gas with these donations, which is confirmed by the recent measures related to the distribution of fundraising conditions for the Marib Front and the rocket force of the militias through the Iqal Al-Harat.

It is worth noting that the Houthi militia implemented a new price dose for household gas cylinders that are being distributed to citizens in the capital, Sanaa, and militia-controlled areas through the neighborhoods at the beginning of this month. Gas and between the neighborhoods and the rewards of the neighborhoods to (4700) riyals, as the gas company, which is under the control of the militias, justified this rise as a result of an increase in gas prices by the legitimate government.
