Ibb, NewsYemen:

The Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, in Ibb governorate, looted a charitable medical hospital after forcibly seizing the Dar Al-Kitab and Al-Sunna Association building that runs it, as part of a massive looting operation.

According to local sources, the militias looted the dispensary's equipment and safe, arrested its director, and appointed an administration from it after turning it into its own investment, and practicing immoral business.

The sources revealed the details of the Houthi militia’s takeover of the Dar al-Kitab wa al-Sunna Association and its al-Khansa clinic.

Monitor for Rights and Freedoms called on the international community to urgently intervene to stop the violations of the Houthi militia against the Dar al-Kitab wa al-Sunna Association in Ibb governorate.

The organization said in a statement that it followed the Houthi militia's robbery of the Dar al-Kitab wa al-Sunna Association and its al-Khansa clinic with great concern, calling on the militia leadership in the governorate to evacuate the confiscated institutions and hand them over to their owners immediately.

It added that it had received a report from the management of the Dar al-Kitab wa al-Sunna Association in Ibb governorate, revealing that the Houthi militia had seized the association’s headquarters and confiscated its properties.

It added that Houthi leaders in the governorate are involved in the confiscation process, which has continued in stages over the past several months.

The association’s management indicated in its communication, which RSD received a copy of, that the Houthi leader, Nabil Al-Murtada, had robbed the association’s headquarters and settled in it and transferred its facilities to a place to take qat.

The association is a charitable association authorized by the Social Affairs and Labor Office. It is active in teaching the Holy Qur’an, relief work, building mosques, sponsoring orphans, and supervising al-Khansa’s charitable clinic.

In a new development and after completing the robbery of the association, the militia led by its social supervisor, "Ahmed Al-Asri", began robbing the Al-Khansaa charitable clinic of the association.

The information confirmed to the organization shows that the modern person impersonated the president of the Dar al-Kitab wa al-Sunna association, changed its seal, began robbing the clinic, controlled it financially and administratively, and committed a number of violations against its owners and employees, such as imprisoning the dispensary director and a number of employees, storming the dispensary's safe, looting large sums of money, and changing the electronic system of the dispensary, and the use of the dispensary for the benefit of the community with the complicity of the judiciary

In its statement, Monitor said that while it condemns this crime, it affirms that these crimes represent the group’s desire to confiscate the charities ’decision and confiscate their properties.

The statement considered that "these crimes are prohibited by international humanitarian law and human rights law, and constitute a violation of international treaties, which reveals barbaric behavior being used by the Houthi militia on the rights and funds of civilians."

It stressed that the robbery of the association affects hundreds of families and orphans who were receiving aid from that association, while the robbery of the dispensary will affect thousands of civilians who were receiving medical services with minimal fees.

The statement called on the Houthi militia to urgently evacuate the association's facilities and institutions and return its looted property.

The statement called on international organizations, led by the United Nations, to intervene to protect civilians in Yemen, and to ensure the protection of personal and public property in accordance with the requirements of the Yemeni constitution and international humanitarian law.
