Aden, NewsYemen:

Local sources reported, on Sunday, that a tribal mediation succeeded in opening the main road linking the city of Marib and the Safer fields to oil and gas trucks, days after it was closed by tribal militants.

Earlier, tribal militants cut off the main road linking Marib and the eastern governorates, in the Al-Erqin area in the Wadi Directorate, and prevented fuel trucks from crossing into the city.

The sources stated that the Ubaida tribes allowed the passage of dozens of trucks that had been detained for about a week as a result of blocking the road, following an agreement that provided for the release of a prisoner.

The blocking of the road resulted in the depletion of fuel for the power station, in the city of Marib, and power outages, in addition to a significant increase in the prices of basic commodities.
