Aden, NewsYemen:

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, refused to bring the actress Intisar Al Hammadi, who was kidnapped in her prisons in Sanaa, for investigation before the Public Prosecution, for the second week.

The lawyer of the actress "Al-Hammadi" Khaled Al-Kamal confirmed that his client would not be brought for the second week, despite the opening of an investigation report into the case, after this procedure was not possible last Wednesday.

The prosecution correspondent reported that the habeas corpus had been delivered, but the concerned authorities said that "the accused are not brought during the month of Ramadan."

Al-Kamal said that the prosecutor investigating the case "decided to seek the opinion of the chief prosecutor to refer the director of the central prison for investigation because of his refusal to bring our client Intisar with the rest of her colleagues."

He explained that he contacted the artist Al-Hammadi in her prison, surprised that she did not receive any notice to come to the prosecution, saying that she had informed him in the meantime, "her intention to go on hunger strike."

He added, "Not bringing her to the prosecution, it was clear intransigence without any justification after several requests," but it was likely that this was related to "raising the issue in the media and politically."

Al-Kamal expressed his concern about his client's health after she also told him "she is sick," saying that she "does not deserve all this that is happening to her."

The Houthi militia kidnapped the actress and model Intisar Al Hammadi, last February, from a checkpoint in the Shamlan area northwest of Sanaa, and she remained hidden, before the launch of a widespread pressure campaign last week to reveal her fate.
