Al-Shabhi: Independence is a strategic southern project

 Adel Al-Shabhi, representative of the General Administration of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, affirmed that the independence of the south is a strategic decision for the southern people.

Al-Shabhi said in a televised intervention that the independence of the south is a project that does not conflict with regional and international powers in the region, but rather is in line with those international parties.

Al-Shabhi pointed out that the independence project did not start with the launch of the Decisive Storm, as the media opposing the southern cause claim.  Stressing that the project was launched since after the failure of Yemeni unity in the '94 war, in which the south was overrun.

The Transitional Council leader considered that the decision to restore the south for the southern people, its leaders and military forces is an irreversible decision.
