The assassination of a security official in Abyan

Abyan, NewsYemen:

 On Wednesday, unidentified gunmen assassinated a security official in Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen.

 A security source told "NewsYemen" that gunmen shot the director of security for Mudia Directorate, Lieutenant-Colonel Nazem Fadl Al-Salhi Al-Maysari and his escort, and killed them immediately.

The source pointed out that the gunmen shot Lieutenant Colonel Al-Maysari and his escort while they were in an agricultural orchard on the outskirts of Mudiyah, in the center of Abyan.

He indicated that the security official and his escort died on the spot, while the perpetrators fled after the execution of the operation, without giving further details.
