Al-Houthi invests the Palestinian cause in recruiting and collecting funds

In recent days, the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, intensified its recruitment campaigns among young men and young people in 10 governorates under its control to push them to the fighting fronts in Marib and Hodeidah, in parallel with the launch of a fund-raising campaign for its own account, in the name of "donating to support Palestine."
The militia sent calls, described as fraudulent, to recruit hundreds of residents and citizens to join them in the ongoing fighting in Marib under the allegations of "fighting in Palestine."
Meanwhile, the legitimate government accused the Houthi militias of exploiting the Palestinian cause in order to mobilize more recruits to fight the Yemenis and collect funds to be used for the benefit of the war effort.
The government's accusations came at a time when the militias escalated their attacks towards Ma'rib and continued to violate the UN truce in Hodeidah, on the western coast of the country, by targeting civilians and residential villages.
Information Minister Muammar Al-Eryani warned residents in militia-controlled areas "against falling victim to exploitation and misinformation" by these militias.
In official statements, he explained that the militias "use the Palestinian cause and the tragedy of the steadfast Palestinian people in the occupied territories as material for trade and political and material gain, prolonging the war in Yemen, and continuing to kill Yemenis."
Al-Eryani pointed out that the Houthi group "is trying to exploit the feelings of the Yemenis about the events in the city of Jerusalem and the occupied territories, and the killing and destruction of the Palestinian people at the hands of the Israeli oppression machine, to organize fund-raising campaigns to finance the war effort, and impose more deceitful ones to them to kill the people." .
He stressed that the terrorist practices of the Houthi militia since its coup against the state are not different from the practices of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians, such as bombing residential neighborhoods, killing civilians, including children and women, in cold blood, destroying homes, prohibiting religious rituals, kidnapping and enforced disappearance.
