 On Tuesday, the UN Security Council will hold an open briefing session and closed consultations on Yemen, according to diplomatic sources.

The United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, and the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Mark Lowcock, will give two briefings during.

In his briefing to the members of the UN Security Council, Griffiths will also present a report on the results of his recent tour, which included both Tehran and Kuwait, as part of his efforts to make a breakthrough in the Yemeni crisis, which has entered its seventh year and has caused an exacerbating humanitarian crisis.
