On Tuesday, the convoy of four members of the National Assembly of the Transitional Council in Wadi Hadramout was detained at a point belonging to the Brotherhood militia in Al-Ain Junction, Shabwa governorate.

Aseel Banafa, Director of the Human Rights Department of the Executive Authority for the Affairs of Hadhramout Valley Districts, said that the detention continued for hours, and their personal and National Assembly membership cards and documents were confiscated, and they were provoked with provocative words and statements.

He explained that those who were detained are Professor Ali Khamis Al-Suwail, Professor Hussein Faraj Al-Amiri, Professor Tariq bin Bishr Al-Nahdi and Professor Irfan Al-Hajri, while they were on their way to the capital, Aden, to participate in the National Assembly session.

He confirmed that they were released after that.

He said, "This act by these militias is a condemned criminal act and a violation of human rights guaranteed by international law and related covenants, and it is a continuation of the violations committed by these militias in violation of the Riyadh Agreement and an escalation that contradicts the calm process and the peace process led by the UN envoy to Yemen to end the crisis."
