Sana'a, NewsYemen:

The visit of Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh to the Russian capital, Moscow, came at an official invitation from the Russian government, to revive the hopes of the residents of Sanaa and its neighboring provinces in the possibility of restoring their rights and liberating the Yemeni political decision from the slumber of the legitimate government and the Houthi dependency on Iran, even if they did not express it publicly.

Away from the official speeches of the political forces and the preconceived unilateral stances of the parties to the crisis, the visit of the leader of the National Resistance and his accompanying delegation to Moscow seemed more effective at the popular and public level in Sanaa and its neighboring governorates, even if they were unable to express this due to the monopoly of the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen  - For the media.

At the level of rumors circulating, affected by and affected by the outcomes of this visit, the residents of Sana’a are widely circulating rumors about stopping the state of war and siege, resolving the Yemeni crisis, raising Yemen’s name from Chapter VII of the Security Council, disbursing the salaries of state employees for the past years, and introducing ships of oil derivatives and foodstuffs.  And lifting the sanctions on Ambassador Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Residents in Sanaa believe that Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, during his talks with Russian officials, raised all these issues in a responsible patriotic spirit, free of personal tendencies and ambitions, and on the basis of restoring Greater Yemen and invoking the constitution and the law, the principles of the revolution, the republic, justice, equality and human rights.

Al-Rimi recalls the closure of the Russian embassy in Sanaa and the departure of its diplomatic staff after the killing of President Saleh in 2017, considering the movement of Brigadier General Tariq as a diplomat from Russia in particular, which carries more than one indication in the popular memory, which means that Brigadier General Tariq started here from where the Russian presence in the Yemeni file stopped with the absence and killing  President Saleh.

Samir Sultan - a taxi bus driver - believes that Brigadier Tariq's visit to Russia will be followed by another visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt as part of an upcoming tour of a number of Arab and foreign countries active in the Yemeni file. Sultan believes that Egypt at this stage is first than others to contribute to solving the Yemeni crisis  and bringing peace to Yemen.
