International migration: 6000 Yemeni families have been displaced since the beginning of the year

 An international organization has reported the displacement of more than six thousand Yemeni families since the beginning of this year, due to the intensification of military battles in a number of Yemeni governorates, especially Marib, which is witnessing for the fifth consecutive month the fiercest confrontations.

The International Organization for Migration said that more than 6,121 Yemeni families have been displaced at least once in the past six months.

The UN organization added, in a statement, that the IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix in Yemen monitored, from January 1 to June 12, the displacement of 6,121 families, comprising about 36,726 individuals.

It said 169 families (1,014 individuals) have been displaced at least once, in less than two weeks this month.
