Aden, NewsYemen:

On Monday, the outgoing British ambassador to Yemen, Michael Aaron, called on the legitimate government and the Southern Transitional Council to implement the Riyadh Agreement, considering cutting humanitarian aid to the country a "shameful thing."

Aaron said on his Twitter account: "If the legitimate government, which is recognized by the United Kingdom and other anti-Houthi political forces, quarrels among themselves, they will not worry the Houthis."

"The Riyadh Agreement must be implemented and forces must be united politically against the Houthis," he added.

The British diplomat described the humanitarian situation in Yemen as "terrible".

He urged all Yemeni authorities to allow humanitarian access and assess needs for the most vulnerable.

Aron considered that "the ban on aid for 9 million people is shameful."
