Yemeni journalist Sami Ghaleb was transferred to a Cairo hospital after a brain hemorrhage

 Yemeni journalist and writer, Sami Ghaleb, was transferred to a hospital in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, after suffering a brain haemorrhage, today.

Journalist Sami Ghaleb, who has been residing in Cairo since the start of the war in Yemen, suffered a brain haemorrhage, after which he was admitted to hospital and is currently in intensive care.

The news was a great shock to the Yemeni press, as activists and journalists circulated the image of journalist Ghaleb, and expressed their wishes for a speedy recovery.

Previously, journalist and writer Sami Ghaleb served as head of the Rights and Freedoms Committee in the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate for one electoral term, and he is a member of the International Federation of Journalists.

Ghaleb also founded the independent weekly newspaper, Al-Nida, which he chairs, after working as a press editor in Al-Wahdawi newspaper, the mouthpiece of the Nasserite Unionist People's Organization Party.
