Houthi militia attacks a doctor at Ibb University

 The Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, has insulted an academic at Ibb University, by assaulting him inside the university's corridors, in light of widespread violations affecting the university's professors and students.

Identical sources and eyewitnesses said that the Houthi militia attacked Dr. Bilal Al-Banna, after threatening him with death amid widespread discontent and rejection of Houthi violations that affect those who work or study at the university.

The sources added that the academic, Bilal Al-Banna, was subjected to excessive assault by the Houthi militia, after he intervened against the militia's attempt to kidnap a man from next to his wife in the university yard, accusing him that the woman was not his wife, so the university doctor intervened, trying to prevent the kidnapping, and informed the university security official  By phone, however, militia members brutally assaulted him, brandished weapons and threatened to kill him.

A few days ago, Houthi militia elements assaulted the deputy dean of the College of Medicine at Ibb University and female students at the College of Laboratories, because they held a party to celebrate the recovery of one of their female colleagues in the college after she was discharged from the hospital following a traffic accident.

 The Houthi militia continues to kidnap d.  Bilal Al-Maitami and Dr. Jalal Al-Madhaji, more than two months ago, in conjunction with crimes and violations committed in the various directorates of the governorate under its control since mid-October 2014.
