Brotherhood militias disperse a mass demonstration condemning the collapse of the national currency in Taiz

Security and military forces, along with the Popular Mobilization Forces, affiliated with the Islah Party, the Brotherhood’s branch, dispersed a peaceful demonstration, on Saturday morning, in the city of Taiz in central Yemen.
Local sources told NewsYemen that the Brotherhood's forces and militia dispersed a mass demonstration by firing rifles, machine guns and pursuits in the streets this morning, in the city of Taiz.
The demonstrators in the city of Taiz denounce the absence of basic services, electricity and water, the high prices of medicines, food and consumer goods, and the collapse of the national currency against foreign currencies.
The demonstrators also denounced the Brotherhood's continued authority to sponsor lawlessness, protect gangs of thieves, robbery, and looting of the governorate's revenues.
The mass demonstration coincided with the closure of merchants in all parts of the besieged city of Taiz, in protest against the collapse of the national currency and the increase in taxes imposed on them by Brotherhood gangs.
