Aden, NewsYemen:

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard, through a high-ranking military commander, admitted providing significant military support to the Houthi militia in Yemen.

The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guards, General Ali Fadawi, said that the Houthi militia's arrival in the "advanced stage of power is one of the fruits of the spread of the Iranian revolution."

And the Tasnim news agency quoted Fadawi as saying: Yemen is "a good example that any place where the fragrance of the revolution spread has changed and developed."

He claimed that all Arab countries "are unable to hold a military exhibition similar to the one organized by the Houthis for their achievements in the field of missiles and drones."

The Iranian military official indicated that his country had received several appeals from the parties opposed to their Houthi allies in Yemen, calling on Tehran to intervene in the Yemeni crisis and settle the conflict with them, without naming those parties.

Fadawi said: "Today, whoever started the war in Yemen is begging us to get out of the crisis," (as he claimed) in reference to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In previous press statements, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian confirmed the existence of direct talks between his country and Saudi Arabia on a number of outstanding issues between the two countries, including the file of the Yemeni crisis.

Abdollahian described those talks as "constructive", pointing out that Tehran had presented new proposals to bring peace to Yemen, without revealing the details of those proposals.
