Aden, NewsYemen:

The British Embassy in Yemen condemned, on Monday, the Houthi militia's launch of a ballistic missile at a residential neighborhood in the city of Marib, which resulted in civilian deaths and injuries.

The embassy said, on its account on "Twitter": "This brutal conflict that does not deserve the lives of the dead and wounded innocent Yemeni men, women and children must stop."

It renewed the British government's position in asking all parties to participate "in the efforts led by the United Nations to bring peace to Yemen."

Houthi missile targeting of a residential neighborhood in the city of Ma'rib resulted in 35 civilian casualties, including seven children, two of whom were killed, and five sustained injuries, some of them critically.

Earlier, the United Nations condemned the killing of two children and the wounding of five others, as a result of a missile attack launched by the Houthi militia on the residential neighborhood of Al-Rawda in the city of Marib.

"Attacks on civilians, including children, are a violation of international humanitarian law," said Ted Chaiban, the regional director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in the Middle East and North Africa.
