The army thwarts an attack by the Houthi militia on its positions northwest of the city of Taiz

Taiz, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The National Army forces in the Taiz axis thwarted an attack launched by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm, on its positions in the northwestern front of the city.

Military sources told NewsYemen that the military confrontations resumed between the two sides in the air defense sites northwest of the city, hours after the Iranian arm’s attacks on the areas of Al-Sayahi, Hazran and Jabal Han, west of the city.

The sources indicated that the confrontations involved the use of various weapons.

According to the sources, the army forces thwarted the attack and launched a counterattack on the militia's positions and managed to defeat the militia members and inflicted human losses on them, while 4 soldiers were wounded by shrapnel as a result of the Houthi shelling.

 Meanwhile, a woman was seriously injured as a result of the Al-Zanqul neighborhood, north of the city, was bombarded with heavy weapons by the Houthi militia.

Four soldiers were martyred and seven others were wounded in the confrontations that erupted on the fronts west of the city, as the militia intensified its attacks in an attempt to control Mount Han and cut off the main road leading to the city.
