Abyan, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

Security sources in Abyan governorate confirmed to NewsYemen that Interior Minister Ibrahim Haidan suspended the governorate's security director, Abu Mishaal Al-Kazmi, due to the clashes that erupted between his forces and the forces of the Special Forces Commander in the governorate, Muhammad Al-Oban, in the city of Shuqrah in early December.

The sources indicated that Haidan summoned Al-Kazmi and Al-Auban to his residence in the city of Seiyun after the clashes that left dead and wounded, and informed them of their exclusion from their positions, but the two sons of the interim president intervened and stopped the decision to dismiss the Marmi Oban who is close to them.

The sources indicated that the Minister of Interior arrested Al-Kazmi and asked him to leave for the Egyptian capital, Cairo, where his family resides, until a replacement is sought for the security of Abyan.

On Wednesday, Al-Kazmi left for the Egyptian capital, Cairo, via Seiyun International Airport, while the Special Forces commander is still in Seiyun and is preparing to return to Shuqrah, according to the sources.

Security sources confirmed that the commander of the emergency forces in Abyan security, Ali Awad Al-Mahawari, is the most prominent candidate to succeed Al-Kazmi, and he began a visit to the headquarters of the security forces and met leaders and soldiers in the force in the past days.

Violent clashes erupted earlier this month between two forces of Al-Kazmi and Al-Oban, due to a dispute over an armored vehicle, resulting in 4 deaths and 7 injuries, and the homes of citizens in the city of Shuqrah were damaged as a result of the clashes that lasted for hours.
