Iran confirms transfer of Irloo from Sanaa to Tehran for treatment

On Saturday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed the transfer of the Iranian ambassador to the Houthi militia, Hussein Irloo, from Sanaa to Tehran.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has transferred Irloo to our country to receive the necessary treatment," said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh.

Khatibzadeh claimed that "Irloo contracted the Corona virus a few days ago in Sanaa," adding that the latter's transfer came "due to the need to provide him with urgent medical care."

He stated that the Iranian Foreign Ministry had made some necessary contacts and consultations with a number of countries in the region, and thus the necessary initial conditions were provided, and the Iranian ambassador is currently being transferred to the country.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the countries that contributed to this humanitarian measure, without referring to them by name, IRNA news agency reported.
