Aden, NewsYemen:

The legitimate government confirmed, on Sunday, that the terrorist Houthi militia rejected the proposals to solve the problem of passports of citizens residing in the group's areas, with the aim of facilitating the conduct of commercial flights agreed upon under the "truce" through Sana'a International Airport.

The official Yemeni news agency (Saba) quoted the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, Ahmed bin Mubarak, as saying that the Houthi militia is still obstructing the operation of Sanaa airport flights and the opening of Taiz roads, despite the passage of a month since the UN armistice.

He stated that "it was agreed to operate Sanaa airport flights in accordance with the operational procedures at Aden and Seiyun airports, and the government worked to complete the internal technical procedures, and was surprised by the Houthis' disruption to operate flights and the imposition of registration of passengers with unrecognized passports and the rejection of the options presented by the government to issue government passports to those who do not hold."  Passports without the need to travel to the liberated governorates, and the government has made many alternative proposals and is still doing so.

He stressed that the Houthi militia practices "selectivity in dealing with the armistice axes," adding that "its priority (the Houthi militia) is to collect funds to finance the war machine and enrich its leaders, as it earns 90 billion Yemeni riyals FROM oil derivatives during the two months of the armistice and evades the obligation to pay the salaries of employees."

The foreign minister called on the international community to pressure the Houthis to maintain the truce and exploit it as a window for peace, operate Sanaa airport flights in accordance with agreed procedures, and open Taiz roads as a humanitarian priority that cannot be delayed.
