Aden, NewsYemen:

The movements and statements of the French ambassador to Yemen, Jean-Marie Safa, angered the terrorist Houthi militia, the Iranian arm that rushed to attack and criticize him.

Earlier this week, the French ambassador visited the city of Mukalla in Hadhramaut governorate, and signed with the local authority in the governorate a contract for a project to support the resilience of the fishing sector in Yemen, implemented by the French Agency for International Technical Cooperation, and financed by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the General Authority for Fisheries in the Arabian Sea.

In a press statement on the sidelines of the visit, the French ambassador said that there are two projects in Yemen, the first is the Houthi project, which returns Yemen to darkness, and the second is the project of legitimacy that wants to restore the state of institutions that respect the people and pluralism, unlike the Houthi project.

He added that the Houthis are the enemies themselves and that they speak in the name of the Yemeni people while they are working against them.. He reviewed the daily Houthi crimes, including the attack on Taiz, the assault on women's rights and the recruitment of children.

The ambassador called on the Houthis to go along with the current political process because their orientation leads to hatred.

These statements were responded to by the Houthi leader, Hussein Al-Ezzi, appointed as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Sanaa government, by attacking the person of the French ambassador.

Al-Ezzi claimed, in a post on his Twitter account, that the French ambassador was working with excessive hostility against the Yemeni people, before describing him as an “unhealthy” person who suffers from physiological defects and disorders.
