The UAE praises the Yemeni government's position on the truce extension proposals

 Dr. Anwar Muhammad Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the UAE, discussed, on Tuesday, with the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, the latest developments related to the Yemeni crisis, and international efforts to find a peaceful solution that ends the human suffering of the Yemeni people.

 According to WAM, the meeting dealt with developments related to the contacts made by the UN envoy and other international parties with the aim of extending the armistice and creating the atmosphere to reach a permanent ceasefire and return to the negotiating table to find a peaceful settlement that guarantees the participation of all parties in the future of Yemen and returning it to its natural role in the region.  

 Gargash stressed the UAE's support for international and international efforts to achieve stability and prosperity in Yemen and end the suffering of the Yemeni people, who are suffering under aggravating human suffering, praising the great role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support international and international efforts aimed at a sustainable political solution to the crisis.

 He drew attention to the positive position of the Yemeni government towards the UN proposals related to the extension of the armistice in Yemen, stressing support for the efforts made by the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen to stabilize the situation in Yemen.

In turn, Hans Grundberg reviewed the efforts he is making with all Yemeni parties and the international efforts in support of reaching a ceasefire, praising the Emirati role in this regard.
