Aden, NewsYemen:

Mutual exchanges escalated between the leaders of the first row of the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - on social media platforms, against the background of the internal physical liquidations that affected a number of the group's heads.

In this context, Dr. Abbas Zaid, brother of the former Minister of Youth and Sports in the Houthi government, Hassan Zaid, who was described by the group in Sanaa, revealed a dangerous role of the Houthi leader Hussein Al-Azi (currently the deputy foreign minister in the militia government) in the assassination of Dr. Ahmed Sharaf Al-Din.

Dr. Ahmed Sharaf al-Din is a Houthi leader and was one of the group’s representatives in the former National Dialogue Conference, before it was liquidated on January 21, 2014 in Sana’a.

Abbas Zaid hinted, in a comment on "Twitter", in response to Hussein Al-Ezzi that the latter was aware of the group's leadership plan to liquidate "Sharaf Al-Din", noting that the first, who was working as a guard of the second, apologized for the mission 9 hours before his assassination.

Sharaf al-Din's liquidation was an episode in a series of liquidations within the Houthi group.  Prominent leaders were affected, including Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Malik Al-Mutawakel, Dr. Abdul-Karim Jadban, journalist and militia leader Abdul-Karim Al-Khaiwani, leader Hassan Zaid and Zaydi reference Zaid Al-Mahturi.

Families of four victims revealed that the Houthis were behind their assassination, that the case files were tampered with, and that trials were conducted without the knowledge of the blood guardians. Meanwhile, the Al-Matouri family has remained silent so far, after the Houthi militia closed the file of the bombing of his mosque, accusing ISIS.

The families of Dr. Ahmed Sharaf al-Din, Dr. Muhammad al-Mutawakel, Hassan Zaid and Abdul Karim al-Khaiwani had previously accused the Houthi militia of trying to hide the features of the crime of their assassination, covering up the real perpetrators, and conducting formal trials aimed at holding people unrelated to these crimes responsible for the assassinations that acquire political dimensions related to the conflicts of militia leaders.  On influence, determine the future of the movement, and formulate its policies in managing power and the state.

Zaid's family revealed more important details about the process of liquidating their father, stating that the perpetrators of the crime are still alive, and not, as the Houthi militia claimed, that the criminals were killed during a prosecution carried out by its security services.

Although the inter-militia liquidation, which affected some of the militia leaders, started since the Houthi coup against state institutions in September 2014, it later turned into an increasing phenomenon as it claimed a number of Houthi leaders.

Outside the circle of raging battles between the two sides of the war and the lines of contact, another need arises for the Houthi militia to kill in a different and calmer way to satisfy an unbridled desire to settle scores and get rid of those suspected or angry from within the group itself.

Usually, after every assassination that is carried out, the Houthis resort to restricting the accusation against an unknown person or inserting loose terminology into the case, as they initiate the accusation of murder against what they call “ISIS” or “aggression countries” for being behind the assassinations and repeated assassinations that occur against prominent personalities, whether  of loyalists or belonging to the militia.

What makes the matter more suspicious is the way in which the Houthi militia deals with assassinations, which is always vague and ambiguous.
