Aden, NewsYemen:

The Southern Transitional Council stressed, on Tuesday, the speedy cancellation of the facilities obtained by the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - under the Stockholm Agreement and the collapsed UN armistice, and the completion of procedures for implementing the National Defense Council's decision to classify it (the Houthi militia) as a terrorist organization.

This came in a meeting held by the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, headed by Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Buraik, according to the official website of the Council.

The meeting stood in front of the Houthi attacks on the ports of Al-Dabba and Al-Nashima in the Hadhramaut and Shabwa governorates, stressing that these attacks mean the end of all agreements signed with the Houthi militia unilaterally, which necessitates the cancellation of all facilities provided to it under the Stockholm Agreement and the UN armistice, which rejected that militia.  Renewing it with a comprehensive military escalation on all fronts and the assault on the ports of Al-Dabba and Al-Nashima.

The STC warned that the continuation of the implementation of either of the two agreements will push the Houthi militia to go further, which requires dealing with it with all firmness, renewing in the context its demand for the Presidential Command Council to quickly transfer the forces of the First Military Region in Wadi Hadhramaut to the fronts to carry out their responsibilities in the face of Houthi threats.

He stressed the speedy completion of the procedures resulting from the announcement of the National Defense Council, classifying the Houthi militia as a terrorist group, activating regional and international mobilization processes to push for adoption at the international level, stopping all forms of facilities, and communicating with them.

In addition, the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council discussed the file of government revenue collection and evasion of supply to the Central Bank, stressing its full support for imposing the state’s authority on the sea port in Ras al-Ara and subjecting it to the state and its institutions, as well as subjecting the resources of land ports in Hadhramaut and Mahra, and making the necessary arrangements to ensure supply it to the state treasury.
