Al-Mahra, NewsYemen, private:

Yesterday, the prominent Brotherhood leader accused of his links to terrorist groups, Salah Battis, launched the slogan of the separation of Hadhramaut governorate and the formation of a new state, to be followed by Brotherhood voices in the far east, led by the Brotherhood leader loyal to the Houthi militia Ali Salem Al-Huraizi, with a similar call for the separation of Mahra, adjacent to the Sultanate of Oman

Only weeks separate the departure of the two men who carry out a suspicious agenda whose main goal is to preserve the last stronghold of the Brotherhood in southern Yemen, represented in Wadi Hadramawt and the Governorate of Al-Mahra, especially in light of the escalation of popular protests calling for the exit of the forces of the First Military District deployed in the two governorates and known for their loyalty to the Islah Party.

Al-Huraizi was among a large list of Brotherhood leaders that announced their support for a project to build a federal Yemen from several regions, and during previous periods they sang about the survival of Yemeni unity and the one state and not accepting the idea of separation and dismantling, today he leads a separatist project after changing the political equation and removing the Islah party from the leadership of legitimacy.  As well as changing the map of the concentration of forces on the ground and the collapse and decline of the party’s areas of influence in many locations, as happened in the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa.

Al-Hurayzi, who holds Omani citizenship, made recent statements and threatened the coalition and the Presidency Command Council and called for the secession of the governorates of Mahra and Socotra and the formation of a new state called the Mahra state, is not a coincidence or the result of the moment. Rather, it came within a Brotherhood scheme to thwart the popular movements calling for the departure of the forces of the First Military District stationed in Mahra and Wadi Hadhramaut.

The great media support for the Yemeni forces affiliated with and funded by the Brotherhood and the Houthis reveals the extent of the great coordination in support of the man-led movements in Mahra, from destabilizing security and stability, targeting the efforts of the Yemeni government and trying to obstruct the support and efforts provided by the countries of the coalition to support legitimacy, led by Saudi Arabia.

Observers believe that Al-Huraizi's call is not isolated from Bates' call in the Hadhramaut Valley, both of which fall within the framework of a Houthi-Brotherhood scheme, apparently with human rights demands and inwardly goals and a subversive and terrorist agenda to destabilize security and stability.

They pointed out that the Brotherhood-Houthi alliance believes that the exit of the forces of the first military region from Al-Mahra and Wadi Hadramawt will mark the end of their project, which depended for years on looting wealth and smuggling and targeting the efforts of Yemeni legitimacy and the coalition supporting it in the liberated Yemeni governorates.

The desperation of the Houthis to keep Al-Huraizi in Al-Mahra is not surprising. The man, in addition to being a prominent Brotherhood leader, was also known for his close relationship with the Houthi militias, which provide him with logistical, financial and even media support to continue to stir up chaos and strife and disturb public tranquility under various names, including the so-called head of the Peaceful Sit-in Committee  Calling for the departure of the coalition forces, which he calls the "occupation" forces, which is the same description used by the Houthis.

The name of the man was mentioned in many security investigations that were conducted with members of arms and drug smuggling cells who were seized by the security services with the help of the coalition forces during the past years.  Towards the areas of Hadhramaut valley and desert, where military forces belonging to the first region are also stationed, all the way to areas under the control of Iran's arm.

A recent report by the International Committee of Experts in the Security Council revealed information about the type of missiles that targeted oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, and that the missiles and planes were manufactured in China and were imported by a company affiliated with Yemeni leaders in the Sultanate of Oman.  It was smuggled after a local mediator in Al-Mahra Governorate to the Houthi-controlled areas, in a clear indication that Al-Hazizi is the local mediator on which the Houthi militias rely in Al-Mahra for the success of their smuggling operations.

The departure of the forces of the first region to their positions and handing them over to local forces from the people of the province will be an inevitable end to the operations of looting wealth and ending the smuggling operations completely through the coasts and ports of Al-Mahra.

The Southern Transitional Council in Al-Mahra, through a political statement, confirmed the calls to complete the implementation of the Riyadh agreement and consultations regarding the transfer of the forces of the first military region in both Mahra and Hadramawt to the front lines with the Houthi sectarian project.  Hegemony with its Brotherhood and Houthi wings to demand the state of the governorate after they were singing about the so-called federal Yemen project.

The Transitional Council confirmed, in a statement, what clearly indicates the hidden hands that are trying to drag the governorate into internal conflicts that prevent it from obtaining its rightful place and position, expressing its disapproval of the speech of the funded project owners and their contradictions and volatility from a federal Yemen to the governorate state, with their continued incitement against the Southern Transitional Council.  A partner in consensual legitimacy based on the outcomes of the Riyadh agreement and consultations and their anti-Arab coalition moves.

The leadership of the Transitional Council in Al-Mahra expressed its astonishment at the silence of the local authorities and the competent authorities about these suspicious actions that threaten stability in the governorate and the region, reiterating its clear message directed to the local, international and regional authorities sponsoring the settlement, which includes the urgent demand of the people of Mahra, which is to transfer the forces of the first region to the fronts and lines of contact with the Houthi militia, enabling the people of Al-Mahra Governorate to manage all the civil and military affairs of their governorate, and finding radical remedies for the economic deterioration.
