Marib, NewsYemen, Private:

The Brotherhood militia, which is affiliated with the legitimate forces, continues to obstruct the military resolution arrangements with the problems it creates in any region in which it is stationed, especially the force led by Saeed bin Maili. It also serves the terrorist Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, and gives it the opportunity to win over the tribes that refuse to join it.

For two and a half years, these forces obstructed the completion of the implementation of the military aspect of the Riyadh Agreement signed on November 5, 2019, which aims to unify the efforts of all forces opposed to the Houthi militia in order to complete the liberation and rid Yemen of Iranian hegemony.

Those forces, which were stationed in the city of Shaqra in the Abyan governorate, refused to withdraw from their positions to confront the Houthi militia, which was advancing towards Ma'rib and was able to occupy about 13 districts, and added to that by creating problems and absurd confrontations with the southern forces before a brigade of the giants forces had to be stationed in the center.  And prevent any provocations or confrontations.

After the Southern Giants forces liberated the districts of Bayhan, Shabwa and Harib, Marib early this year, lifting the siege imposed by the militias on Marib, and reducing the danger of their attacks on the Wadi District - the last of Marib districts with legitimacy - the task of forming military forces engaged in the tasks of liberating the remaining districts of Marib.

The southern forces also carried out military operations against extremist organizations affiliated with the Houthi militias to destabilize the liberated areas, which prompted the forces of Bin Maili to withdraw from the city of Shaqra in Abyan and reposition in the city of Marib.

But those forces, which have become affiliated with the "Presidential Protection", which are Brotherhood forces par excellence, did not pass weeks after their arrival in Ma'rib until they created problems with the Ma'rib tribes, specifically the Damashqah tribe, where that force tried to seize swathes of land within the tribe's property to establish a brigade headquarters by force and without coordination.  With the third military region, the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense and the local authority in the governorate, or to provide compensation and take approval.

This behavior caused confrontations to erupt between the Damashqa tribe, backed by fighters from the Bani Ubaidah tribe, which had a role in protecting Marib from the Houthi militias.  And the forces of Ben Maili, who refused to respond to the tribal mediation to end the tension, and even caused the Sheikh's death.  Muhammad bin Mohsen Jalal, the chief sheikh of Al Ubaidah, while performing his duties with other sheikhs for the role of tribal and friendly mediation between the two sides of the conflict to calm down and stop the fighting.

Abu Fhaid, who is interested in military affairs, said in a tweet on his Twitter account, that the war now raging in Marib was indispensable and there was no need to start it, whatever the motives were, as long as the Houthis and the Houthis surrounded the Marib governorate from all sides, stressing that we were supposed to confront those who deserve it.  To confront it with all the means at our disposal, in reference to the terrorist Houthi militia.

These absurd confrontations that left dozens of dead and wounded on both sides, the terrorist Houthi militia is trying to exploit to win over the tribes that are now refusing to supply their fronts with fighters before revealing the fate of those who preceded them, as well as compensating for the losses it incurred during its recent confrontations against the tribes of Dahm Al-Jawf against the background of its attempt to seize lands belonging to them.

The official militia media dealt with these confrontations as targeting the Ubaidah tribes, the largest tribes of Ma'rib, which had a major role in the steadfastness of the governorate and preventing its fall completely in the hands of the Houthi militias.  She called on the tribes of Ma'rib to unite their ranks and stand up to the Brotherhood's forces, which it claims are affiliated with legitimacy.
