Marib, NewsYemen, Private:

Major General Muhammad al-Jaradi, an advisor to the Minister of Defense and one of the most prominent military leaders that participated in forming the nucleus of the army in 2015, was killed by unidentified gunmen in the city of Marib on Tuesday morning.

Major General Al-Jaradi was martyred after he was deliberately neglected and marginalized in the past years, and after those groups that carried out the operation failed to assassinate him with previous attempts.

Major General Al-Jaradi enjoys great love and respect in Marib, but he is at odds with the Brotherhood's ruling organization in the governorate.

Al-Jaradi was subjected to several assassinations, most notably in Sirwah when he was commander of the 181st Brigade, which led to the killing of two of his nephews.

Al-Jaradi was excluded and marginalized by the Brotherhood and received the decision to dismiss him from the 181st Brigade days after he was injured in the fighting fronts in defense of Marib.

The assassination came after years of deprivation and marginalization, which confirms that the perpetrator was the one who dismissed him and denied him treatment.

Media activist "Shaji' Husam Buhaibah" says that everyone in Ma'rib knew that Major General Al-Jaradi is in great disagreement with the Brotherhood in the governorate, and the organization had fought him, excluded him, marginalized him, and cut off all his dues.

Buhaibah added, in a tweet to him, that Al-Jaradi, who was betrayed in Marib today, was clearly complaining about the harassment he was subjected to by the Brotherhood’s authority in Marib, and he was also complaining about Al-Maqdashi’s behavior towards him.

Journalist Sayyaf Al-Gharbani confirmed that the assassination of Major General Al-Jaradi is a crime of political liquidation, noting that looting his car after he was liquidated was an attempt to give the crime a criminal character.

This exceptional military leader was assassinated morally before he was physically assassinated, when he was expelled from the leadership of the 81st Brigade, which he founded from scratch, simply because of his leftist tendencies," Al-Gharbani said.
