Aden, NewsYemen:

The Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - launched new threats to resume combat operations against the Yemeni government and the Arab coalition, while sticking to its previous conditions.

The so-called "Supreme Political Council" of the Houthis said, "The state of no peace and no war will not last," stressing that the militia is fully prepared to deter what he called "greed for islands, wealth, and waterways."

According to the Houthis' Al-Masirah channel, the council was briefed on Monday's meeting about the readiness of the group's forces to "prevent and deter American and Zionist ambitions in Yemen's wealth, islands and waterways."

The Houthi militia renewed its adherence to its previous conditions of paying the salaries of "all civil and military employees, and completely lifting restrictions imposed on airports and ports under its control."

And the Minister of Defense in the (unrecognized) Houthi government, Muhammad Al-Atifi, had hinted at the end of last November, to launch a large-scale naval and land operation, if the militia's demands were not met, after the failure to renew the armistice agreement with the internationally recognized government, in early October.  October of the current year.

In mid-December, Al-Atifi said, according to Houthi media, that "the maritime security of Yemeni territorial waters will be a priority in the next stage," after the Egyptian army announced that it would assume command of the Joint International Task Force.
