The UAE is implementing the largest and first project to generate electricity with clean energy in Aden

 The United Arab Emirates, represented by the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company "Masdar", is implementing the first and largest strategic project to generate electricity through clean and renewable energy in the capital, Aden.

In this regard, on Wednesday, in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, a joint cooperation agreement was signed between the Ministry of Electricity and Energy and the Abu Dhabi Company to supply the capital, Aden, with a solar energy plant with a total capacity of 120 MW.

The agreement was signed on the Yemeni side by the Minister of Electricity, Eng. Manea bin Yameen, and the Minister of State, Governor of the Capital, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, and on the Emirati side, Eng. Fawaz Al-Mahrami, Executive Director of the Company's Clean Energy Department.

The agreement provided for the establishment of the station, transmission lines, and transformer stations for the transmission and distribution of the energy that the station will generate. It also included a number of clauses related to the conditions and obligations between the two parties.

This project will reduce the cost of generating electricity during daylight hours, as well as the need for fuel for power plants, and will contribute to preserving the environment by reducing carbon emissions.

After the signing, Minister Bin Yammine confirmed that the survey work for the station had actually started a month ago, noting that there are tireless efforts being made to complete the project as soon as possible, expressing his thanks and gratitude to the brothers in the United Arab Emirates for their fraternal stances and their unlimited support for our country in various fields.  domains.

He praised the great efforts made by the member of the Presidential Leadership Council, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, to support the Ministry of Electricity, enabling it to overcome the difficulties related to providing electricity to face the coming summer.

While Minister Ahmed Lamlas stressed the strategic importance of the project, praising the unlimited support provided by the brothers in the UAE to rehabilitate the infrastructure in the capital, Aden.
