Launching the "Mountain Winds" project to protect oil installations in Hadramout

 The Corporate Protection Forces in Hadramout coast, southeast of the country, launched a tactical military project called "Mountain Winds", to counter any terrorist attacks and sabotage operations that may affect the governorate and its oil facilities.

The announcement of the project came at the end of the 2022 training year, during a military maneuver by the Corporate Protection Forces.  Which announced its combat readiness to confront any acts of sabotage that threaten the security and peace of Hadramout Governorate.

Last November and December, the Houthi militia - Iran's arm in Yemen, carried out two terrorist drone attacks on Al-Dhaba port in Al-Shihr district, which caused damage inside the port, with the aim of stopping the export of the crude oil shipment.

The "Mountain Winds" tactical project comes as a continuation of the ongoing work to rehabilitate the force and raise its high readiness to confront any acts of sabotage targeting oil and gas wells and fields from any targeting, especially with the recent increase in Houthi drone strikes on oil sources and export places in Hadramout Governorate.

The "Mountain Winds" tactical project included learning methods of combat tactics, shooting, attacking enemy fortifications with artillery, mortars, anti-aircraft fire, shooting with modified weapons, and working on mine clearance, in order to raise the capabilities of the fighters.

The Commander of the Corporate Protection Force, Brigadier General Ahmed Omar Al-Maari, affirmed that the Corporate Protection Force confirms its high readiness to confront any dangers, thanking the efforts of the officers and soldiers of the force who contributed to upgrading and refining the force.

The military official counted the great and limited support from the countries of the Arab coalition represented by the United Arab Emirates for the force, which contributed significantly to the development and rehabilitation of that force, which contributed to preserving the most important national economic facilities in Hadramout.

In turn, the Chief of Operations of the Second Military Region, Brigadier General Muhammad Omar Al-Yamini, conveyed the greetings of Major General Fayez Al-Tamimi, Commander of the Second Military Region, expressing his happiness at what he witnessed of a combat project that expresses the maximum readiness of the Corporate Protection Force.

The Mountain Winds maneuver simulated an imminent danger to the country's facilities and how to storm enemy ambushes with various heavy, medium and light weapons.

The soldiers participating in the maneuver reflected the combat readiness of the corporate protection forces, and the high skills to carry out tasks at various stages and achieve accuracy in targets.

The military leaders participating in the parade confirmed that the corporate protection forces are a fortified shield to confront any threat that may affect oil and gas wells and disturb the citizen's safety and the security of Hadramout governorate.
