Aden, NewsYemen:

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, met in two separate meetings with the US envoy Timothy Lenderking, US Ambassador Stephen Fagin, the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, and his assistant Moein Shrim.

These meetings, according to the government-run Saba Agency, discussed developments in the Yemeni situation, and regional and international efforts to revive the peace path in light of the intransigence of the terrorist Houthi militia and its persistence in deepening human suffering and threatening global energy supplies.

The official agency indicated that Al-Alimi and the members of the Presidential Leadership Council mentioned during the meetings the approach of the Council and the government towards peace efforts and their positive engagement with the elements of the humanitarian truce that the Houthi militia blew up with its terrorist attacks on vital facilities and ports for millions of Yemenis.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the importance of the role of the international community in deterring Houthi terrorist threats and the blatant interference of the Iranian regime in Yemeni affairs, by sending more shipments of internationally banned weapons, in an effort to turn Yemen into a point of threat to international peace and security.
