Al-Mahra, NewsYemen, Private:

As usual, the Muslim Brotherhood leader in Al-Mahra Governorate, Ali Salem Al-Huraizy, issued new statements attacking the leadership of the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and making offensive accusations in implementation of the Brotherhood and Houthi agenda aimed at destroying Yemen and tampering with its capabilities and resources.

From inside a small room, Al-Huraizy appeared with a number of his supporters, under the name of an extraordinary meeting of the so-called Peaceful Sit-in Committee in Al-Mahrah, in order to attack the Arab coalition, the government and the Presidential Council, and spread rumors about a “Saudi-Emirati conflict to plunder Yemen’s wealth, destroy its infrastructure, security and military institutions, and occupy the islands.”  and ports.”  As he says.

Al-Huraizy's haste to hold the meeting and attack the Arab coalition came in response to the local support in Al-Mahrah, which declared support for the efforts of the Arab coalition countries led by Saudi Arabia and the support they provide to the people of the province in various service and development fields.  Where prominent tribal and social figures in Al-Mahrah held a meeting with the leadership of the Arab coalition operating in the governorate, in which many upcoming development and service plans and projects that will serve the governorate and its disadvantaged people over many years were discussed.

extraordinary meeting

During the past days, Al-Mahra hosted an exceptional meeting that included a number of personalities, sheikhs, and notables in Al-Mahra Governorate with the leadership of the coalition forces operating in the governorate, led by Brigadier General Abed Al-Qahtani, Commander of Force 804 for Support and Attribution.

Among those present were Sultan Abdullah bin Issa Al Afrar, head of the General Council for the people of the governorates of Al-Mahra and Socotra, Mr. Salem Abdullah Nimer, Secretary General of the Local Council, Sheikh Muhammad Ahmed Al-Zuwaidi, member of the House of Representatives, Sheikh Tawakul Yassin Balhaf, member of the Shura Council, and Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Kaddah, former Minister of State.  Sheikh Fouad Muhammad Kalshat, Director General of the Endowments and Guidance Office, and Colonel Ahmed Ali Raafit, Deputy Director of Security.

During the meeting, the most important developmental and service needs and vital projects that spread the spirit of life and advance the governorate were discussed.  Where Brigadier General Al-Qahtani affirmed the keenness of the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the security and stability of Al-Mahra Governorate and the promotion of social peace, as well as gathering the word and uniting the people of Al-Mahrah and cooperation to consolidate the foundations of security and stability, indicating that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his crown prince  Al-Amin Mohammed bin Salman pays special attention to support the province of Al-Mahra in terms of security and development.

For their part, the sheikhs and notables praised the important role played by the coalition force in Al-Mahrah under the leadership of Brigadier General Abed Al-Qahtani, and his commendable efforts to establish security and maintain public tranquility, expressing their appreciation for the generous support provided by the Kingdom's government to Yemen in general and Al-Mahrah in particular, and renewed their support for the leadership of the Presidential Council  And the legitimate government in confronting the Houthi coup militia and its supporters.

 Brotherhood Targeting  for development

The mission of the Brotherhood in Al-Mahrah and behind them the Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, was not limited to killing life and spreading chaos and instability, but rather it exceeded it to obstruct and deprive the governorate of strategic projects that could benefit the people of that governorate and create many job opportunities and revive life.

Among these projects is the Qishn port for mining activity, whose implementation was approved by the Yemeni government in December 2022, to be a new marine gateway that contributes to the recovery of economic and commercial movement in the governorate.

The project was not liked by the Houthi Brotherhood alliance in Al-Mahrah, which is led by Al-Huraizy and his committee, and it was quick to issue threats and intimidations regarding confronting the implementation of the project and thwarting it under flimsy justifications that harm the Al-Mahrah governorate and its people.

Al-Huraizy argued, in his meeting held on January 8, that the establishment of the developmental and vital project robs him and his supporters of their dignity and sovereignty, forgetting that the project was approved by the Yemeni government in order to serve the governorate, its people, and Yemen in general.  Al-Huraizy also resorted to the method of terror and intimidation by saying that he and the free people of Al-Mahra are ready for the next stage to confront the efforts of the government, the Presidential Council and the coalition, vowing to expel them from Al-Mahra and Yemen in general, as he described it.

clear valor

The Houthi Brotherhood’s servitude, led by Al-Huraizy, has emerged again to create problems in order to divert development efforts in Al-Mahra by thwarting the implementation of the project, which will contribute to the advancement of Al-Mahra Governorate in particular and Yemen in general, since the Qishn district will turn into a center for mining activity, and the establishment of the port will generate large funds for the state treasury, and those funds will also return  Benefiting the governorate through what will be implemented of basic infrastructure projects that Al-Mahra currently lacks.

The movements against life projects in Al-Mahrah were accompanied by frenzied media campaigns targeting the efforts of the Yemeni government, the Presidential Council and the Arab coalition under various names to reject the project and thwart its implementation.  The campaigns focused on describing the Arab coalition as an "occupation" and presenting fallacies about the project and how Yemen will lose its sovereignty and other obvious justifications that match what is being published by the Houthi militia - Iran's arm.

Leader Hassan Mahdi Balhaf, Vice President of the Al-Mahrah Transitional Council, confirmed that the forces and parties that reject the Qishn project or any development and investment projects in the governorate are trying hard to falsify facts and spread fallacies about the position of Al-Mahrah and its people on those projects, including the Qishn project.

He explained that those parties associated with the Houthis and the Muslim Brotherhood refuse to let Al-Mahra or any liberated governorate be stable and economically flourish and witness the implementation of huge investment projects that serve the governorates and their people.

Balhaf indicated, in a statement, that the people of Al-Mahra governorate reject these systematic campaigns that target their security and stability and seek to spread chaos and destabilize peace, explaining that there is great popular, tribal and official support that will stand in the face of any attempts to impede the advancement of the governorate or threaten its security and stability.

He noted that the parties that reject the Qishn project are known to all and that they mainly serve the Houthi militia and the Muslim Brotherhood.  These parties are trying to use the land of Al-Mahrah to pass their suspicious agenda to target the brothers in the Arab Coalition and the Southern Transitional Council, until they have become hostile to the equal government and the Presidential Leadership Council.

Balhaf said that Al-Mahra possesses a lot of wealth inside its womb, and its people have been waiting for many years to extract and export it and benefit from its revenues to advance the governorate and improve its reality.  Pointing out that the establishment of the port of Qishn, which was endorsed by the government and the Presidential Council, will be a promising start for upcoming economic projects in the province and the country in general.

He stressed that those who reject the Qishn project today do not have any legitimacy in Al-Mahrah, but rather they are militias and armed gangs for whom space was found during the previous period and today they speak in the name of Al-Mahrah and its people, and implement directives from internal parties, including the Houthi militia and the Brotherhood, as well as directives to neighboring countries.

The leader of the Transitional Council stated that Al-Mahra Governorate, its people, and its security and military forces are repeatedly trying to avoid clashing with these elements and gangs that seek to create discord within the governorate, and they will fail in their plan.
